[Not Quitting]

We always had fruit cake in our house at Christmas. My mom used to make her own, but I usually pick up the Marks & Spencers variety - too much effort to make it myself. Probably won't spend the money this year - H won't be around to eat it and I'd hate to think how much weight I'd put on if I had one to myself .

Of course saying that, I've had some pretty awful fruit cake in my time as well. And I know a few people say its an acquired taste.
