Surviving Separation

Well another anniversary has come and gone while our marriage remains on the rocks. This year it passed with neither one of us acknowledging the date. Honestly, it was a much nicer way to get through the day compared to last year when we tried to celebrate but ended up separated.

Also, the ball of things getting closer to normal is starting to roll. My H came over twice in the past few days specifically to spend time with me (coming over after our S was already in bed), and stayed over. He still stays on the couch but he initiated a little bit of cuddling so its nice to finally have some contact.

I'm not looking too far into these new developments though because his mom is due to be in town next week. In the past he has always played nice while she's here only to distance again when she leaves. So we'll see what happens.
