I would continue to initiate contact if it's business related, but on a personal level....allow him to come to you. Trust me, he will contact you. Only reply to his emails if you feel an answer is warranted.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
