I remember Vanilla Ice. That Amish reference made me laugh, can just imagine you in one of those hats MH, lol.
Got a busy day today. For some reason my postman couldn't fit my paperback book through the letter box, I don't think he even tried! So anyway, I've got to go down to the post office to collect my book frown
I'm off to do someone's nails later on this morning, she's also my life coach so I'll be able to have a chat with her smile
In the afternoon I'm helping my friend set up for the pamper evening that's happening later tonight. Me and another student have got a table there so I'll be earning a bit extra money tonight smile Hopefully we might get a break to enjoy a glass of wine, nibbles and a chocolate fountain smile

We had a really good postie where we lived. He knew we had a baby and he tended to do our area fairly early in the day. If he had something heavy that would make a lot of noise dropping through the slot to the floor or too big for the letterbox which meant he'd try knocking before taking it back to the post office, he'd do the rest of his route first, then come back and knock on the door (usually at least an hour later) - he said he didn't want to wake the baby. How nice was that?

Enjoy your evening. I'll join you in hoping that you get a break to enjoy wine, nibbles and chocolate fountain. It'll make the evening that much nicer.

Well I didn't get a chance to have some wine and a chocolate fountain as I was fully booked with clients smile I made a profit which was good and had a catch up with some friends that I'd not seen for ages smile
I've had a spritzer since I've got home and just catching up with my DB posts.
I collected the book from the post office, it was all packaging! If it had been in a jiffy bag then it would've gone thru the door no problem smile
We used to have a good postie that would leave mail at the neighbours when we were out or sometimes if it was a letter that needed a signature, then he would sign for it and post it through smile

I'm sure the profit makes up for missing out on wine and chocolate - and it's far less fattening LOL.

Don't you love it when there's more packaging than contents crazy . I had a stationery order come in at work yesterday. The box was huge - contents were a couple rolls of tape for the label maker, paper clips and staples. They had stuffed the box full of paper so the contents didn't move.

Should have said that it's almost wine o'clock here now smile . May have to try mulled wine soon (either that or Irish coffee) - temperature is dropping rapidly and a warm drink may be more in order. In fact only about 2 hours north of us they've had snow all day.

My nephew posted on FB tonight that it's been snowing there all day. Think they've had around 5-10 cm so far. What they get, we're going to get sooner or later - ugh. There's possible flurries in the forecast for tomorrow as it is. Had to dig out the ice scraper this morning to scrape the frost off. Guess it'll be the snow brush next.

eeek you can keep your snow over there thank you very much smile Do you have to make a batch of mulled wine or have you got a recipe that caters for individual portions? I love mulled wine when the temperatures are freezing smile

I agree, keep your snow over there. In my country bumpkin town, it was only 33 degrees at the time of my run 5.30pm. Nearly 7pm and still 31 degrees.

I told my nephew he could keep it. I'm not ready for snow either. It's bad enough having to scrape frost of the windscreen in the morning.

And if it snows this time of year in Queensland then there really is a climate change going on LOL. Isn't it nearly summer there?

It's been a while - the last time I was making it for a party so it was a batch. I'll have to dig out the recipe cards again and see if I've got individual recipes. If I don't, I'm sure the LCBO (that's the Liquor Control Board or liquor store, for non-Ontarians here) website will have some.
