TTD, Pema Chodron says that when these thoughts come into your head, just say "Thinking" and be kind to yourself and roll them away, like a ball. Say it out loud.

That has helped me tremendously ( well, that and red wine, but i digress)

TTD, if you stop putting smiley faces in your posts then we will know you are not happy! wink

Sometimes we need to experience the grief of letting them go, to really detach. It's ok.

We love BBT too! Such a humorous show!

Thanks for your replies KP and Pud smile There goes another smiley face, I aim to please smile
I'll try that mantra KP, it sounds good smile
Pud, it just shows that I've not detached yet from him. I'll be glad when I get back to the point when I wake up humming or singing a song, which I haven't been doing lately. I miss that, but it's not because I'm thinking of H because it's normally a hymn or a religious song. I'm going to go all religious on you all now, but when that happens I feel that God is with me smile
Anyway, on a positive note - Went to Church this morning and felt uplifted smile It was just what I needed! Didn't see my friend at Church this morning, so went home and watched BBT with our lunch. I had a nap this afternoon, I was really tired for some reason.
I did a bit of decluttering this afternoon, let me hear you say "heck yeah!" lol. It wasn't much but it was a start. I tidied out a kitchen cupboard smile
Just waiting for my dinner to cook and then we're going to watch BBT again and X Factor.
BTW MH, I was cleaning out a cupboard in my PJs and dressing gown lol. Not quite my underpants! I had a bath and decided to get ready for bed. Time to slob out in front of the TV for the rest of the evening smile

No cleaning out or decluttering for me at all this weekend, although my dad did clean out his workbench area in the basement. He said that now he can get to his bench since H's tools are gone, he may as well clean off the many years of dust LOL.

Hope your back is better. I really feel for you - I've had back problems since I managed to slip a disc when I was at university - and two epidurals during childbirth haven't helped either.

The beauty college near my work doesn't do massages. They specialize in cosmetics - I could get a cheap makeover but if I want a massage I'd have to go to one of their other campuses. I'm going to check out the spas near work and see how much they'd charge.

Are their other campuses too far away then?
We've got clients in this week, so no chance of a infra red back treatment for me!
I'm off to see the college mentor today, so looking forward to having a chat with her smile
No news on the H front, I've taken to putting my mobile phone on silent whilst I'm at home. It will be interesting to see what he does this weekend when he picks up my son. Still at least I've got a night out to look forward to smile
My back feels a bit better today thanks NQ smile The weather's been lousy, it's rained none stop! I can't remember the last time it didn't rain all day!

Yep, their other campuses are in a different city. If I happen to have a day off and go into the city I could probably book something. Some of the spas have lower rates for new talent so I'm checking into those.

We've had rain off and on over the last few days, although we've got sunshine right now even though it's pretty chilly. And tomorrow's forecast has that nasty "f" word in it - they're calling for below zero temperatures and possible flurries. Ugh, it's too early for that.

Nq, your weather is nearly the same as ours smile We've had sunshine today and it's been quite mild as well, it's stopped raining for a change, YAY!!
Had a good day today. It started off quite stressy though, we missed the first bus because my son forgot his wallet and we had to go back to the house to get it!
I went to see the college mentor today. I was pleasantly surprised what services they can offer you smile She going to refer me to a counselling service and ask for a counsellor who practices CBT smile I hope that's the right one I've got to ask for.
Anyway, this organisation normally costs a lotta money, but I'm getting the service for free smile Yippee smile
I also mentioned about finding my son activities to do during the day and she's going to refer him to autism outreach team who may be able to find him something to do smile
So all good in the hood smile
Out again tonight, not really a social activity. Every year we do a stable trail for the kids from the Churches. The Church is sectioned off with curtains and the kids go around the different areas that tell the story of the nativity (with a bit of humour thrown in!) They have a "tour guide" who shows them round and each area has a different activity or craft for the kids to do. As well as the stable trail there's more crafts and refreshments in the Church hall. A lot of planning goes into it as you can imagine, so I'm off to a meeting tonight to discuss it smile It's a really good event and enjoyed by everyone, even the ones that help out smile It's a good start to the holiday season and makes you feel more christmassy smile
