But I know that I can't fix him, I can't fix anyone. By trying to fix him, I'm trying to control him, which I don't want to do.

I do believe this all stems from his childhood. As do my issues with control and fixing people.

Yes Cal...You can't fix him and you didn't break him. These are deep rooted issues manifesting.

He will need to work himself out of his inner turmoil. Its tough to be along for the ride.

Be patient with yourself regarding your detachment, its a long process and not a linear one.
