Now we need BA's update on the hockey game with Marianne last night. Sorry the Caps lost, BA. But since my team is coming to play them tomorrow, I now have to hope they lose one more time. Sorry, I'm a homer now.
Hey Betsey - well since you asked for an update, and full well knowing that the 2 X 4s are on the way here goes:
Last night (aside from the CAPs losing - grrr) was well, great. Marianne is a member of the Scarlett Club which held a pre-game celebration at a bar not far from the Verizon Center. Free food and drinks which was nice. We had non stop and easy flowing conversation all night long. There was a small but noticable amount of flirting thrown in (initially by her) just to make things interesting. The flirting could also just be due to our familiarity with each other as well. Either way, I had a good time and the fact that the CAPs lost was not a complete downer for the evening. Besides I got home in time to see the last three innings of the Detroit - Oakland game which was a nice way to end the evening.
As for my "dance card" - Barbara and I are getting together next week since we both have family in town this weekend. It is looking like that will happen on Thursday or Friday and I am very excited to see her again. Newbie Debbie and I are meeting up on Monday night. NA Jeanette is busy with her son visiting this week and I haven't heard from her in a couple of days. She told me before he arrived that she wanted to get together again after he returns to his dad in Tennessee. Of course if I don't get back on the payroll soon all of this dating may come to a screeching stop!
Oh and the way the CAPs are playing - I don't think your Avalanche has too much to worry about, but rest assured I will be rooting for the team in RED!
