I did, and you did. smile

I have been on my Tue night stress relief adventure in town, and was it ever needed! Work was stressing me out. After my class, I walked to Pizza Hut, then to the bookstore. I headed for the grocery store, but decided to pop into a coffee shop and enjoy a nice caffeine infusion and read my book first.

All in all, a good evening. I avoided any flirty waitresses and drunk ladies hitting on me in cabs. On second thought, maybe it wasn't such a good night. whistle

Soo what book did you buy? Sounds like you had a good night, even though there weren't any flirty women about smile You don't need them anyway smile did you get a pizza as well? I only have to look at a pizza hut menu and I put on weight, lol.
Interesting fact for you. When we went to America for our honeymoon, we went to pizza hut. We ordered the large one between us and it was huuuuuge! So here's the interesting fact - your medium pizza is equivalent to our large and your small pizza is equivalent to our medium pizza and your large pizza will feed a family of four, lol.
I've got some news and this will make you all ROFL!! H rang this morning and he was all happy and chatty. Then the real reason came out why he'd rung, he wanted to borrow some money off me, lol. I didn't tell him to get knotted, though I felt like doing lol. I said I'm sorry I've not got much money myself. He said that's ok and then said goodbye. He didn't get annoyed or anything, thank goodness smile I got off the phone and thought bl**dy Cheek! lol. I've cheered up no end, this has really made my day smile It's a lot nicer when we are getting on, though now I'm beginning to think that he's only nice when he wants something! He's like a kid, you know when they want something as they'll come a give you a cuddle, lol.
Have a nice day smile

Your news definitely had me ROFL laugh. Of course he was happy and chatty, he wanted something off you. Kinda like mine when he needs me to deliver something to him. MLCers are just big kids after all, or at least ours are smile

I know that feeling, although my W texts and usually is apologetic - but still wants money, or help paying for something, anyway.

Oh, yeah. About food portions. When I was on my own after my first wife bailed out, I was young enough to stop at McDonald's and such frequently without immediate ill affects - either gastro or weight related. LOL.

Anyway, I was fine with a medium sized drink, small fries and one of their regular cheeseburgers - I often didn't finish the entire drink. Then they started all the supersizing and meal combos. Over the years I started eating just a bit more and getting larger drinks. Pretty soon it was 2 burgers, supersized fries and extra large drink - an that was before I had to drink diet soda, so the drink alone was probably 300 calories!

I remember when the "Big Gulps" and other super-sized soft drink cups from the convenience stores seemed like wretched excess! It was only after the lawsuits and negative attention peaked that they stopped the continuous expansion of the portions. Processed foods are not only more calorie dense so we get way too many calories before we feel full, they act just like drugs in that the more we eat, the more it takes to provide that feeling. frown

I saw a photo series that showed restaurant sized from the 1950s compared to today. Truly scary!

I'll get off that horse now.

I got Wild - From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. It's about a woman hiking alone most of the length of the West Coast of the USA. I'm always reading multiple books, so I'm also reading Orange is the New Black, which is also a series on Netflix. It's also a woman's account, but of being in prison for a year. Sometimes I feel like my sitch is a prison of sorts... smirk
I find inspiring non-fiction to be as helpful as self-help books for PMA. Maybe more so, because they're easier to read and offer an escape from my life!

I know I'm going to catch it because these are both books from women's point of view. I swear I'm not gay and I do read manly stuff! I'm also reading a book about the physical infrastructure of the internet! Not that women can't be technical, too. I'm digging deeper here, aren't I...? wink

MH, you worry me trying to justify why you're not gay all the time, lol. Are you sure you're not a closet Gay? Only kidding smile
That was the other thing that we found when we went to America, the MacDonalds portions were bigger than ours as well and don't get me started on the breakfast all you can eat buffets smile By day 3 or 4 I was actually fed up of eating breakfast buffets, can you believe that? lol. Americans like their buffets don't they? We'd get a buffet as well in the evenings for our evening meal.
I normally have two book on the go as well, a self help book and a novel. The book I mentioned earlier is keeping me hooked. It is a great book and worth getting smile It's quite old now as well, so you should be able to get it cheap enough smile
