Thanks for the advice. I've logged it here for my tally.

As long as it isn't some huge big deal where you hand them the gift and then look at them with big, puppydog eyes and say in a tiny voice "do you really, really like it?"

I'm laughing--because this is so NOT me! You have no worries on this front.

Positive for today: Last year, getting him anything other than a card would have been tragic. Even the card was not appreciated by Mr. W. I believe that this year, things are different.

God, I wish he would make the decision to make this M work. Sitting here waiting for the shoe to drop either way is no fun anymore. Which is why I've resorted to fantasizing about methods in which I could have him served.

I think I need some help resetting some goals... and right now, I'm at a complete loss on what might be good and realistic.

Any help appreciated, as always.
