So, I wasn't the only one who thought that halftime show was hmm...bizarre, to say the least!
I think that a gift and a nice card (mebbe even an appreciative card - I know, I know - but the fishes, they like that stuff) is never out of place. As long as it isn't some huge big deal where you hand them the gift and then look at them with big, puppydog eyes and say in a tiny voice "do you really, really like it?" I think it would be just fine. Ask once if they want to do something (my husband wanted to hide on his birthday-he was not happy about it), if not, no biggie.
Oh, goodie - it's even more chances to do the game show voices!
