I like the "hon" line. I always called W babe up until BD - then she got real nasty and said, "I'm not your BABE". Now, I call her it all the time, and she just answers me. It's weird.
It's awesome that he's having conversations with you - and even though it's weirdly about a zit in the nose - I consider that "more than civil friends" chatter. I mean, keep calm, cool, focused. And I love the big smile!
