Does that include n/c with her? Now that will be fun smile NQ, I think this post is important as it's from the benefits office wanting another doctor's note I should imagine! I've asked H to change his address and he says he has. Obviously he hasn't ask he's been fined for not informing them of his change of circumstances. Of course that's my fault for telling them the date he moved out, lol.
I rang up the office to tell them his change of address and they said is he "estranged" from you, lol. I think that means separated, so I just said yes, hehe. Does this woman not know plain English! Anyway they said I can't change it as he's got to ring them up himself (which he obviously hasn't done!)
BTW, I feel tons better after my bible study smile It's lifted my spirits smile The walk did me good as well, but I wish we weren't surrounded by hills, lol.

Well he's obviously not in a hurry for it, so just put it somewhere safe and give it to him next time he decides to show up. Do you have his new address? The other option would be to write his new address on the envelope, mark it "Forward to" and stick it back in the postbox.

You can't honestly expect plain English from a government office now, can you smile

No I suppose that'll be too much to ask! lol.
I do know his new address, but he doesn't know that I know it! I overheard him talking to someone on the phone. What makes me laugh is that he doesn't know that I know it and keeps hiding his address from me when he's filling out a form, lol.
He'll get a shock if I mark the post - forward to ________ hehe smile
He won't be expecting it, but that's not my problem! I've put it where his post normally goes and he knows where to go and look for it! I'm expecting fireworks when he sees it there!

It's never fun dealing with government offices. However, we did have great fun calling Inland Revenue about a year after leaving the UK.

I had provided them with my new Canadian address before I left and about a year later they sent me a letter advising that no income had been reported for me for 12 months and could I confirm what I had been doing in that time period to ensure that my taxes were being withheld correctly. Really crazy. They had sent the letter to a Canadian address - what did they think I was doing. Of course H still had a sense of humour then and when he phoned it was afternoon there, morning here. He corrected the young lady that answered "Good afternoon, Inland Revenue" and said it confused her until he finally explained he was in a different time zone and we are 5 hours behind GMT.

I actually temped at a government office over here when I first moved here. They had 3 people doing work that in a non-government office would be done by 1. I was bored to tears and asked to be re-assigned after only two weeks.

No wonder our taxes are so high.

lol I worked for a government office as well. I know what you mean about boring, no wonder the staff there look and act so miserable, lol.

The money they get paid to be bored, they've got no excuse for being miserable.

Sorry to jump in but had to add, that prices here for the movies are ridiculous as well. Most cinema's are now about $15 starting price, add another $4 for the 3d glasses that you return and $30 plus dollars for the gold class cinemas that have the comfy seats. No wonder so many people download the movies illegally. You can also imagine the prices for food and drinks.

We pay extra for the giant screen sometimes. My W and I don't like the 3D, so that really limits what we can see on the giant screens, though. The picture is never as sharp and I already have thick enough glasses and sinus problems, so adding a second pair of glasses to my face is just too uncomfortable. Don't get me started on directors concocting scenes in movies just for the 3D affect, rather than the needs of the plot. smile
