If they're like mine they can't eat without flinging half of their food around the floor.

When I used to have a cat, he always brought us little presents - you know, the furry, dead rodent kind. Yuck! And he had mastered the art of meowing at the door with his mouth full of said present without sounding like his mouth was full.

lol my cats can't meow without it sounding like they've got a mouthful of mouse or bird. The youngest cat always brings mice in still alive and then plays with it. She growls at me if I try to take it off her. By the time I get it off her, it's dead anyway frown

Sometimes they were alive, other times not. And some of the things he used to bring home - apart from the usual birds and mice, I can remember at least one baby rabbit and a 3-foot live garter snake. At least we saw the snake before we opened the door and one of us went out the back door and sneaked up behind him to take it off him before letting him in - I sure wouldn't want that getting loose in the house.

wow! a snake! the biggest thing that my cat's brought in is a blackbird! Actually I say brought it, but she couldn't fit it through the cat flap, lol. I remember as well on my way to the shops one day, I saw a cat with a pigeon in it's mouth. Now that was a funny sight smile

Today, while watching another episode of Simon Pegg's show Spaced, I learned about Jaffa Cakes.

Now, tonight, I need to do the work I should have been doing while watching that show. smirk

lol you should do what I did earlier. I cleaned the cat food area today whilst my computer was switched on. Ever so often I'd have a look to see if someone else has emailed smile STILL not got rid of the bookcase, lol. I also need to get rid of a sofa as well which is going to be harder to do as it is damaged. It's got to be a day where I know I'm going to be in so they can come to collect it smile
What's your next project MH? Finish off the study?
Jaffa cakes are nice smile You may be able to get them in the Brit shop that you mentioned smile

If you can't, one of those online stores should carry them.

I'm thinking I'm due a trip to my favourite Brit store (didn't make it to any of the ones near my sis) - I'm almost out of baked beans. If I hold off a few more weeks the M&S Christmas cakes and puddings should be in.

argh you mentioned the C word! lol. I mean Christmas smile I had to stop my son from talking about it today. He said once his birthday is over, then we can start planning Christmas! bless him smile I don't really want to think about Christmas at the mo, it'll be the first one where there's just me and my son. I keep hoping that one of my friends will invite us over smile Trouble is they've all got family near by and even my single friends are spending Christmas with their families. If it was up to me, I'd forget Christmas this year! lol.
