XW came by last week one night to pick up the kids. She had a rough day and we got to chatting and had a couple of beers. At some point she said she missed our interactions and eventually I simply asked her, "What is it you want?"
She basically indicated reconciliation and I told her, "You've known for a very long time how that would start, yet you've never been willing to do it," (meaning, no contact with OM). She responded, "Maybe I am now." Not a super endorsement for effort there, but I guess time will tell.
At some point, she also told me she remembered seeing my handle here and one weekend looked up and read all my posts. She had mentioned reading my story once before and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but there's not really anything here that I wouldn't say directly to her. So with that, "Hi XW!!"
I've been reading "Surviving an Affair" recently and I wish I had read it sooner. It really helps you understand affairs and it's helped me get to a place of forgiveness for a few things I was struggling with.
