As rH pointed out, you are doing great. This is not an easy walk in the park and if your w has this "need" to run away and be on her own, then it's time to step back and let her go. Open that cage door and allow the little bird to test her wings. It's the only way that she will learn about herself and what she's capable of doing, i.e., in other words grow up. She needs to find herself and the best way to do that is being out in the cold, cruel world w/o the protection of her marriage and husband. She definitely needs a lot of time and space and when she has those things, hopefully she'll soon discover that home is where the heart is and want to return.
I'm sorry it's come to this, but I think it is what she needs now in order to find her way back to you.
