We had a credit counselling meeting this morning, which he actually turned up without complaint in spite of his adventures last night. I found out why he wasn't available last night to finish his packing.
It seems he tried to break up a fight outside the local coffee shop and got his head slammed into a brick wall for his trouble. He ended up spending over an hour giving a statement to the cops and talking to the paramedics (and refusing to go to hospital for medical treatment). He's sporting a one inch gash on the back of his head and a headache, but no serious ill effects. Could be another visit to court for him as the guy that injured him has been charged with assaulting an off-duty enforcement officer. H is a licensed security officer and witnesses told the police that he did identify himself as such before stepping in to break up the fight. He's also not going to be charged for hitting the guy as it's been deemed self-defence.
Normally I'd have been really worried and would probably have tried fussing over him, but not this morning. He says he's okay, so he must be okay. He did ask me if I thought it needed stitches, as he can't see the back of his head. I told probably but it was up to him whether he went for treatment or not. Good 180 on my part .
It's also a positive change for H as the last time he got hurt doing security, I found out from a third party about two weeks after the incident.
