I hope you manage to leave all of your husbands MLC baggage behind and enjoy your trip.
Pack clothes you can layer - days can be quite pleasant at present but mornings/evenings are definitely cooler - and something waterproof. We are famous for our rain.
Thanks to all of you for your good wishes on my trip. I was going to take my DR book to study in the plane, but decided (on Dawn's advice ) to bring a novel instead! Brelly and layers are packed, bought myself some pounds to start off, and S27 is taking me to lunch with the birthday gift I gave him for his 28th birthday Thursday It seems so unreal to me that by this time tomorrow I will be in another country. I cannot take it in, any more than I can take in the fact that my H is in another country with another woman. I hope that numb over loaded feeling is not coming back, I hated that!
Thursday is also my wedding anniversary. I decided not to send regards to H unless I hear from him first. H sent a flurry of emails Sunday night (his Monday morning I guess) with last minute advice to me on going thru customs etc. He said he was going to get his tooth extracted by the vodka-drinking dentist later that day, and I have not heard another word. Maybe the dentist has the patient drink the vodka? LOL!

RL, I found that I did much better staying up and doing things once I arrived over the pond. If I went to sleep to ward off jet lag, I always felt worse.
Definitely take a novel to read and definitely leave mlc and everything about it behind. Be sure to pack any medications that you will require over there.
Enjoy your trip and definitely have some great fun. Do things that you've never done before and if you get a chance, see a show or two. Don't think twice about doing something different...after all...we only live once!
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.

OOOH jet lag, been there, done that.
Great advice, try to stay up until it is dark out. Drink lots of water.(bottled)
Take every opportunity you can to enjoy it, soak it in, relax, have fun, take lots of pictures, and if there still there, have a "Wimpy's" burger if you miss Mcdonalds in any way. As my aunt in London would say, "Have fun you silly sausage".
I'm looking forward to your travel updates or the full report upon your return. Yes, kml and Snodderly made some great suggestions. Melatonin and any meds that you will need. Put them in your carryon or purse.
Leave all thoughts of the RT and your h behind and YOU will have a wonderful time.
Travel safe.
