Had a nice day yesterday with S13. We ran some errands and then just had a chill out afternoon. Last night we loaded YouTube onto the screen and I introduced my son to Mrs Brown and Mrs Bucket. He loves Mrs Brown (even if some of the jokes went over his head) but I'm not sure he knew what to make of Mrs Bucket. My dad loved both of them though and all three of us had a really good laugh .
Yesterday afternoon S13 was looking at the new FB profile picture I'd set up for him when he spotted his dad's new picture. He knew when and where it had been taken and his comment was "I wonder who the female is". He then went back to his game before I had a chance to answer so I just left it for now.
Today's was H's day to visit S13. As usual, it was them taking turns playing computer games. H still hasn't had his man to man with S13 - I'm beginning to think he hasn't got the balls to do it himself. He's going to have to tell him when he turns up to pack the rest of his stuff later in the week as he told me today he's going to be doing. It stung a bit when he told me that but only for a minute or two and I even managed to not shed a single tear over the whole thing. I'm still not quitting on my R but I am taking a step back for now and letting my H get on do what he thinks he needs to do.
I will not be giving up DBing whatever happens from here on in and in fact, picked up DR from the library again a couple of days ago to read again. One of the local bookstores is going to order it in for me, but have said it'll probably be a couple of weeks before their special orders come in.
