We had a wonderful time at the wedding. Bart & Corri are very dear to us - often visited our cottage and were the ones who came and helped us move into this house. Growing up - when Bart and his Mom were not getting along - our home was his "safe place" to land. He saved the last dance of the night for me. Corri gave me flowers!

It was so much fun - the first wedding we've ever all attended. Ashley had never been to a wedding reception. Got her thinking about her own. She asked me how we would ever handle her dad being there. I told her that we are all adults and we would be civil for her sake. She said he would feel very awkward. I told her we would have to plan ahead to try to make it as nice as possible for everyone's sake and not to worry about it. But sadly - that's what divorce does. On a lighter note - she had a great time dancing with her brother and his friends. AND - she caught the bouquet!

Brandon shared that he had called his dad to tell him that Bart was getting married (Ex knew him very well). He also called him out on getting Ashley's age wrong. They actually ARGUED about it! UGH - as if we could possibly be wrong. He WAS in the delivery room. Both kids told me they really believe he has lost it.

But we partied till they closed the castle last night. Brandon left shortly after for the airport and his week in the Dominican Republic with the rest of the wedding party. He will have a blast. We spent the night at Josh's Toronto house but had to get up super early for the drive north. Unfortunately, Ashley had to work at 11. UGH. I took to the couch for the day. Still haven't shaken my cold but I'm working on it.
