It's hard when our sons have been used to getting much more than what we can afford to give them now. I'm having the same trouble with my son at the mo, I used to be able to afford to give him a bit of pocket money each week and now it's as and when I can afford it. I tell him the same as you that when I start earning more money then I'll be able to give him more. At least he's starting to understand now
