Really motivates me to not check email, work on stuff based on my preference instead of real priority, or check on DB forum. LOL.
So depending on which time zone you’re in, it’s most likely after 9 – guess your preferred task is checking DB forum right now LOL. If it weren’t for checking up on the forum, there are times when I’d have nothing else to do.

I notice when watching Holmes on Holmes or other Canadian DIY shows they usually refer to feet and inches - but that might just be a trade practice, or pandering to the US audience. I know habits die hard in different industries. But I have a few Canadian co-workers and they all seem to be able to switch back and forth ok. I have to stop and think hard if given a temperature in Celsius (or hit Google!). But I really love how the British folks are officially metric yet give their weight in stones all the time!
It depends on your age whether you can switch back and forth or not. My son is too young to know anything other than metric and my dad still struggles with metric. I can usually switch back and forth as I started learning feet/inches in school then had to switch to metric before I’d finished.
As you drive across the border, one of the first traffic signs you’ll see is one which tells US drivers what 100km is in mph – just so they have no excuse for being caught speeding LOL .
And as for weight in stones, being 10 stone sounds lighter than 140 lbs, doesn't it? Not that I remember what it feels like to only be 140lbs LOL .
