Just realized today how much a compliment or two means. We're having a mini heatwave here right now so we've all dug the summer dresses out again. I've had several of the ladies tell me I should wear figure hugging clothes more often, and one of the guys asked if I'd lost weight. He then went on to add, after I said only a couple of pounds and that I still had at least 10 to go to hit target weight, that I didn't need to lose any more because I look great as I am now.

I'm sure it would probably have meant more if it had come from H, but I'll take whatever I can get right now. It certainly is a confidence boost.

That's great isn't it smile Funnily enough I had someone say that to me last week about my weight. She said you're not going to lose anymore are you? and I just said welll...
Complements do make you feel better don't they smile We're supposed to be due for a mini heatwave as well, lol. I'll believe THAT when I see it! lol.

Funny thing is this is the same guy who told me a couple of weeks ago, just after I had my hair cut short, that he doesn't usually like short hair on women, but that it looks really good on me. Flirting maybe??? It's been a while so I've kind of forgotten what that looks like.

You can have ours if you want - temperatures in the 30's (Celsius) with humidity making it more like the 40s - not at all comfortable. And by Friday they're saying we'll be back to jackets and blankets on the bed.

Seems like we're all getting a boost from the opposite sex lately. I swear, my W's radar picked up on the flirty waitress. This morning she messaged me on Skype asking if I got home alright last night. smile

Well my son's taxi picked him up and today and the driver was a bit of alright smile
It'll be interesting if my H contacts me whilst he's away this weekend. We shall have to see, but that would be a positive sign I think smile
I'll have your heatwave NQ if you have our damp, cold weather, lol. I've started putting the heating back on.

Doubt my H's radar would pick up on any flirting aimed my way unless he was actually standing there while it happened - and even then I wouldn't be holding my breath for him to notice right now since he's so wrapped up in his own private little world these days.

Sorry TTD our heatwave came to an abrupt end last night with a massive thunderstorm. We've now got warm and wet instead of hot and sticky. I'd heard it was cooling off over there from one of my FB friends who lives in the south west - she said last weekend that she'd had to put the heating on.

My H doesn't notice any flirting thrown my way either.. guys are oblivious sometimes!!

We had a crazy thunderstorm last night with hail, strong winds and tornado warnings... what is with this crazy weather? I was actually enjoying the hot weather and not looking forward to it cooling down.

I'd heard on the radio that parts of Ontario had tornado warnings and nearly all of Southern Ontario had severe thunderstorm warnings. We were lucky in our area not to have the tornado warnings, but we certainly had a very loud and drawn out thunderstorm. I love the hot weather but not the humidity - it plays havoc on my sinuses. I've been popping sinus meds almost like candy for the last two days. It'll be a relief to not have to take any today.

Well apparently we've got even worse weather coming in on Sunday, high winds and heavy rain. So much for our heatwave! Mind you, it's not bad today, I actually feel warm at the mo smile
