Her (10 min later): I can't... (Boss) informed me that I am required to attend (Dinner in SF). Fundraiser (old company) used to require me to attend. I'm not happy... Bad food, bunch of drunks, and long drive home...
Me (10 min later): that $ucks!! Sorry you have to deal with that. Wish I could prove an excuse for you.

Interesting that she is concerned about "bunch of drunks"... from what she had told me a few months back she would fit right in. Maybe she has mellowed a bit...
