I'll bet you can find it on Amazon. That's where I get my fix for Bounty candy bars. Used to get them in Anchorage, AK. Then I saw them again in Toronto last year. Can't find them in stores here. I like them because I can have milk chocolate with the almonds, whereas with Almond Joy/Mounds I have to have dark chocolate with almonds. Who are they to determine my chocolate/almond combinations?!

MH, try googling British food suppliers. You'll find some that will deliver to the US. If you want to PM me I can send you the link to one of the stores I use that also does mail order and I believe deliver to US since I can't post it on here - don't know how their prices compare to Amazon. There's loads of British stores up here in the GTA but then there's a lot of ex-pats living in the area. I've got two stores within a 20 minutes drive and another 6 within about an hour's drive, and if I wanted to go even further afield there's even more.
What's wrong with being picky? I don't like what they pass off as baked beans over here and will spend extra to buy the imported Heinz beans from one of the British stores here. It's worth the extra $1 or so a tin to get decent baked beans - LOL.

lol. We have a store over here called Aldi which is Swedish imported stuff I think. Their tins of baked beans are miles cheaper and just as good as heinz I think you can tell MH the name of the store you buy from, you just can't put a link to it.

That would be interesting. I wanted to say my W and I are kind of Anglophiles, but wouldn't that be leaving out other parts of the UK? Because we don't exclude Scotland and Wales or even Northern Ireland. There's me being nitpicky again.
That reminds me of a great video. Google "The Difference Between the United Kingdom, Great Britain, England and a Whole Lot More" or search for it on YouTube. It's enlightening, and it will be amusing, even for those of you who already know all that.
It's by C.G.P. Grey. He has a blog and does these funny, educational videos and articles. He's also got a great one on London VS The City of London. Good Stuff. It's not all about the UK. He's done some about the US as well.

The only way I can describe it is when people talk about nothing at great length. I do try hard not to use Brit statements here as it confuses people You're right, the scottish especially can get really funny about people calling them anything but Scottish. This was especially the case when Andy Murray won Wimbledon this year. The Scots say that he's only Scottish when he's losing, but he's British when he's winning, lol.

I have to remember not to use Brit terms at work and with a lot of my friends. Not always easy after spending 12 years in England, having a dad and an H from England, not to mention in-laws, a cousin and several friends. LOL. I've had a few funny looks when something's slipped out that co-workers or Canadian friends don't understand.

Had my first class at the stress relief program tonight. It was fun. And, I got to walk downtown, have a nice meal, return some library books and pay my fine (20 cents - didn't break the bank) and get some groceries.
You know you've turned a corner DB-wise, when you can spend an evening alone and not feel down about it. I was walking along enjoying myself, and thinking how my W had better be careful, because I'm starting to enjoy the freedom of setting my own schedule, picking what I want to watch, what I want to eat. She did text me several times tonight, and even suggested going out to dinner, but with my class we decided it would be better to wait.
Then there was the really cute, slightly flirtatious waitress... made me feel sort of like a man again. LOL. Of course, she was probably buttering me up for a good tip. It worked!
Before all of this I barely spent any time away from my H. Lately I have been enjoying the free time as well, reading books, going for walks, enjoying a glass of wine while watching my favourite shows. I realize that life will go on with or without him, and the world doesn't revolve around him. Create your own happiness! Ok, that was sappy, sorry!
