And watching TV can be considered GALing - if it's something you gave up for your spouse - I certainly did as the PC is in one room and the TV in another so I gave up a lot of shows in favour of trying to spend time with H while he played on the computer.

With me NQ, me and H were always in front of the TV when we were having our dinner. Now I have dinner with my son at the table and then we go on our PCs. A total 180 and one of the first ones I applied in my sitch.
MH, glad you're getting out and about smile I know what you feel about being overwhelmed by things. NQ is right when she says to have a calendar, I don't know what I would do without mine! It's stuck up on the wall next to my PC and I write things down on there all the time. It could be little things as well, not just appts. I got my calendar from the US through Flylady site. It's got loads of room on each day and so you've got space to write everything on there.
Maybe if you get too overwhelmed, you may like to get a life coaching book that can manage your time more effectively. I know you like reading smile
I try to keep the weekends free and go and do things with my son. I had a lovely day today. We went to a cheap bookshop and got a few books from there, I bought my son some clothes in the sale and then we went for lunch in a church room as it's a lot cheaper than a cafe. We had a wander round the market afterwards and then popped into cafe nero for a hot choc. Went to a service at the cathedral, then went back to someone's house for tea and cake. I'm just catching up with my emails now smile
