F, yes the option of taking stress leave could happen. Again I need to be careful as they could ignore it as a workplace caused issue (no transfer) and all it would do to me is cost money and my own loss of sick pay.
TTD180, looking or taking up a PE position in the private field again would cost me money (long service leave, sick leave, transfer costs). I have over 50 days sick leave available, I am up to 8 yeas of service (long service is 10 years) and it will cost well over $5000 to transfer all belongings back to the city.

I have to look at all these options very carefully and way them up. My first option (if transfer doesn't come through) will be to contact HR and the Union to discuss the compassionate/mental issue of no transfer.
I might simply have no need to worry about how to deal with this as I might simply be given a transfer. That is why I am not focusing on any negative of the transfer. Just letting it run it's course.
