Subguy, thinking about you. You sound well despite the difficult nature of today. In my case, signing the papers really didn't make a difference. Focus on yourself and enjoying life, and be patient and kind to yourself as you grow and learn. Just by being aware of limiting behaviors, you're making huge progress toward real happiness.
Definitely not worth riding a bike in the rain, if you can help it. No rain suit protects you from all the rain. Not to mention if your road lines are like ours in Australia, they are slippery as when wet. One of these days/years I want to bring my Trumpy 675 and do Route 66.

H rides, so the rain suit comment was somewhat of a joke. He usually only rides in the rain if he is on a ride and it starts to rain. The last time, it was through the mountains in TN/NC/SC.

Subguy, you're funny. My H and I divorced late last year and now we're seeing each other again so there is plenty of hope. Hang in there
Thank you unbidden, I hope it works out for you. I am interested in your story so when you have the time I'd love to read it.

Thank you Tori, today was a little tough but you guys and my friends in CR helped me get through it. I am really a blessed man, I have gained many friends through this ordeal.

I'm having a glass of wine for you (ok, and for me too). Hope the day hasn't been too bad overall.
Guess what?? Okay the suspense is obviously killing you and I'll just tell you now. On my way home from work, the clouds parted and the sun came out in full force... yes I got to ride!!! yippee for subguy he wins today. I have you to thank as I'm sure your positive vibes scattered the clouds

I'm not a fan of riding in the rain. I rode through one storm so far and it hurt my lips lol. I have a half helmet and dang that crap stung haha. i had to try and tuck my lips in. I had to look goofy but dang that hurt. It was like getting a tattoo on my lips hahahahahahaha
I am in a pretty good mood tonight and I'd like to thank everyone who checked in with me. Now it's time to see what the rest of my life has in store for me.
You can not change your past, but you can ruin a perfectly good present by worrying about the future.
It's official I received the papers in the mail, I am a single man... The last couple of days have been up/down and now I feel like I am off the tilt a-whirl. Things are back to a relatively even keel and the work I have in front of me will continue.
Bug, yes I am gonna post my goals and dreams in a different thread. I am going to move to the divorced portion of this site.

Hey Subguy, Just wanted to let you know that you have my best wishes.
You seem like you have a good frame of mind at the moment. I know what it's like to get papers... but you seem to be handling things well, with a focus on what life will bring in the future.
Your support for me has made a lot of difference to my days, so please know that I am with you as you travel along your new path.
Unbidden's story reminds us that we never know what's around the corner...
Glad you got the ride in, and that you are starting to get off the tilt a whirl. The power of positive thought always wins. I'm sure you will still have some more up and down days, but they will start to be more up than down.
H has a full helmet and rain suit. You name it, he probably has it. And then he wonders why his credit cards are maxed out. The latest purchase was another set of handle bars and some cable extenders so when he goes on a ride next month, he won't get uncomfortable and his back won't hurt.
Do you have any exciting plans for yourself in the near future in the new single world?

Subguy, I have a very important question for you... OK, here it is... have you done any mods on your Sporty yet? LOL! No really, that's half the fun! It makes it uniquely yours, and it's a lot of fun getting your hands dirty I bought my Sporty in '92 for 5200 out the door and did probably that much more in mod's to it over the years. It vibrates so much that my hands go numb after 30 minutes on the freeway. It's ridiculous 2.25 gallon tank means it can't stray too far from a gas station. But I love it because my fingerprints are all over it from the hopped up motor to the performance suspension to the old- school flames on the gas tank to the bobbed rear fender with cat's eye taillight
