I'm so happy to hear that you and Brandon and Ashley have been able to get back on track. It's a windy road to navigate, isn't it?
D19 and I have had a wonderful final 2 weeks. She leaves for NY bright and early tomorrow morning, and seems to want to do things with the family. We had the "last supper" last night. I surprised myself by getting choked up. Two weeks ago, I'd have hosted a bon voyage party for her... Anyway.

Ashley is UBER busy but it is with New "He's Just A Friend". But that's ok. He is a nice guy and knows this area and a lot of people well. On top of that - his family are really nice to her and this evening she is hanging out with his Mom to celebrate her birthday. The family has 4 boys and no girls so I will bet she kind of enjoys having Ashley and her enthusiastic spirit around.
But Ash and I are making plans to go shopping too. For her apt and her birthday next month. She is going to NIagara next week to get her stuff and it will sit in my garage for a couple of weeks till the Apt is ready (they will repaint and clean - the guy living there was a slob).
Life is back on track. Ryan is doing fabulous. Only 2 workers here now but both are dedicated and with Ashley and my sister able to stay with him while I'm away this winter - I have reached a calm zen-like stage. I am alone today and LOVING it. Taking care of some business and tidying but have some ME time too! I need that!
Everything is falling into place nicely. Ashley now has 2 job offers - both are health related. She might be able to do both - see how the interviews go.
Half her furniture is here in the garage now & in just 3 weeks she will be moving into her new apt. I am SO happy!

Thanks everyone! My smile is huge! The folks in my town are embracing her as well. You know the saying "it takes a village" - well - here the word is traveling the she is moving here & they all want to make her welcome. I know they'd like her to get involved in the community like her mom but I'm sure that will evolve naturally.
School starts tomorrow for everyone here. Where did the time go? Of course before you know it, mine will be like Ashley and Brandon. Moving out and spreading their wings. Gulp!

Kat: it seems like it will never happen - then it's over too soon. Almost like this summer...
Mostly they are grown up then once in a while they seem to revert back to their teen years & it just throws me off balance. But it is usually short lived.
Ash is bubbling over with excitement. I'm so glad!
