I understand the mortality part of life crisis having had a heart attack at age 45. Nothing gets your attention more than having a 8 inch scar on your chest.

It is a tough thing to get past but possible. It is when people in your age group start dropping that really makes it rough.

I hear the Doobies... It keeps you running... oh, it keeps you running (It keeps you running)... Sing it Michael McDonald!

Yes, looking forward to the running update. I find it impressive.

I find it stupid CAS, but thanks! LOL!! Toe doesn't hurt that much and I will tape the dickens out of it!

Turtle...how is cute dad? wink

And mortality is something that has never sat well with H. This will spin him and it will be interesting to see the direction.

By impressive, I meant the whole running thing. I know i couldn't do it. My knees couldn't take it. Too many years of playing softball.

Thanks CAS smile

Social Experiment 2 update: (SE2)

I texted SE2 and said that if he was bored he could drive out (1.5 hours) and I would buy him a beer.

He showed wink Stayed for two hours even though I was working and only sat 20 mins with him.

Next date-Thursday smile

Ruby, so much has happened since last time I checked! First of all, congrats on the running (even w the injured toe!) and I know you'll do great on the marathon.

Your H's behavior is very interesting. Your attitude is making a difference.

Also, OK to feel whatever you feel--don't judge yourself when you say you feel disrespected. I felt the same, so...Just be kind to yourself.

Hey tori!! I am planning a trip to Maine to camp for a couple of days, if you wanted to drive smile You could meet PS. Of course, Turtle and the boys are welcome, but I know she is getting busy these days.

I think it is just hard being number two in someone's life-someone you care about. While I know that if there were an emergency, he would drop everything and everyone, it still is sad. Not hurtful, just something sad, kind of undefinable.

Marathon went okay...for those of you who run LD and have ever encountered this problem (lol) I got hit by runner's stomach at km 15 and that was pretty much it for me frown

I finished but the time wasn't great. I was on track for my best time at km12 and 13, but not to be. I finished though, bruised soles, broken toe and all. Yay!

Not much this week, school, GAL activities, shopping for dress for wedding, date with SE2, see how everything goes wink

Think I will STFU with H about SE2. He will hear about him, since I invited him to the bar on Saturday and H's entire family saw him. My response, if it comes up will be, "He is a friend of mine, who came up to see me." and that will be that. True and short.

Wow Ruby, congratulations on finishing the race with a broken toe AND runner's stomach. You are an amazing woman!

It IS hard to be #2 in your H's life, doesn't it? For me it causes a lot of pain to be second in my H's heart, especially behind a scheming lying manipulating bitch who I can clearly see thru, but he thinks adores him. I'm glad that you are past the hurt, but sorry that it still makes you sad.

How nice that SE2 drove out 90 minutes to see you while you were working. He sounds like a possibility wink
