Man L's concerns (while a little bit forward to bring up after one date) ARE actually legitimate. If he's allergic to cats, being around one can be very uncomfortable. Back when I had one small cat (in a very clean home) my girlfriend who is allergic could only visit by sitting out on the back porch. So unless you'd be willing to give up your cat for a guy (most wouldn't!) it is a problem.
As for the night-owl/morning lark issue - plenty of couples find a workaround, but there ARE disadvantages. Once my early-riser ex left, I started being able to go out to hear live music in the evenings again (he was always in bed by 9). But then again, my current beau is also an early riser - but he's more willing to stay out late on occasion, and he doesn't expect ME to rise at the crack of dawn.
I think more what this tells you about him is he is either gun shy, ambivalent about dating, or uber analytical (is he an engineer or computer programmer by any chance?).
