SpeicalK: Hey, mate...good to see you here! Detachment is the key...really in improving your sitch. It took me about 7 to 8 years to get the hang of this thing! Hey...I'm the eternal optimist!
Bets: I don't want just the crumbs by just being a 'friend'. I want the whole hotdog!! Even the buns.
Val: Patience? Boy...probably a new middle name for me! Don't know who wins this competition: Job or Wonka
Stubborn: Thanks for the kind words. You know the whole story back to the very beginning when I joined here. Nice to have a old, salty vet like you still walking right bedside me.
RT: Camp fire?! I can supply graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Then we'll have this huge bonfire going strong in Wonka's backyard!! Come one and all!!
Ruby & Linda: Oh yes...smileys are helpful. And would you know that Ms. Wonka does the same as well?!
UPDATE:
I went AWOL temporarily from this site as I am now finally moved out of the house and handed the keys over to the new owner. It was tough as during the last night I at the house, I walked around saying good-bye to my father and turned the lights out for the last time.
Interestingly enough, Ms. Wonka initiated a text this past Monday night while I was in the middle of the moving chaos as I had the moving truck and men scurrying around all over the place. Furthermore, it continued almost all this week until last night. What I found most interesting about this text was two things:
1) It took place on a Monday night 2) Picking some random, safe subject to initiate these texts
My instinct, awaiting for further facts to back it up, is that Ms. Wonka and the OW are possibly kaput. Let's work this thought process out logically together as a collective group, my dear DBers.
How many of you do ACTUALLY sent out emails/texts to friends on Monday nights after a long day at work after a weekend when you are married/in a significant relationship??? Not me. When Ms. Wonka and I were together, I never liked receiving/sending phone calls, emails, etc on Monday nights.
Another clue came from talking with an acquaintance on the phone last week. We both serve on a committee for an event and I relayed to her that I would be unavailable due to moving. Then her 'face' fell and became slightly concerned and asked me this, "Umm...where are you moving?" That was ODD coming from her. My suspicion is that this woman has some form of contact with either Ms. Wonka or the OW. At this point, it is conjecture on my part. But I'd be VERY interested in learning whatever answers come my way in short order.
