Hey Snodderly! Good to hear from you, Maui took the brunt of that storm, lots of crop damage.
My oldest son and his wife and my 2 granddaughters moved to San Antonio Texas to be with his wife's mother for awhile. I miss them like crazy!
I actually work in the HR department, it just seems that I am becoming an IT expert because of the job I do. I also go to other departments and help out with their organization charts, because for some odd reason I know how to use that program.
I hope everyone has an amazing day!

Hey Wendy! I'm sure you are missing your son, wife and 2 granddaughter quite a bit. Have you given any thought about what you are doing to do when your home sells? Are you staying there or moving back to the CA?
I'm sure the HR work keeps you busy, but look at what you are doing in assisting others...i.e., organizational charts, etc. Who knows, you may have just have another job coming your way if you continue doing IT work such as this. People are always looking for employees who can do charts, etc. and that's a great skill to have since offices are constantly reorganizing in today's world.
Enjoy your day!

@Snodderly: I just keep playing my life by ear. I'm sure everything will all work out in the end. @Lanzo: Hang in ther and just keep crawling. At least you aren't standing still! @Rick: I really do see the need for this to be over. @labug: I am always glad to hear from you. @kml: I was thinking about you the other day. I keep waiting for my ham sandwich, but people keep trying to give me baloney.... @WTFL: I don't remember saying my life was better now. Certainly different.
Today after I got off work I came home and did 2 hours of yard work. I got all the debris from the light winds we got from Flossy picked up and the Green Waste bins down to the curb.
I am breaking all of my what sometimes feels like overwhelming tasks into small bites. I spend 2 hours every day working on something I really don't feel like doing. Usually by the time I finish I am happy that I did the job. It makes me feel better, less stressed as I step through my tasks!
Aloha all!

I was feeling out of sorts yesterday. And some beautiful people and random strangers made me feel so much better.
We are encouraged to wear red or blue on Fridays, and also it is called Aloha Friday, so aloha shirts, polo shirts and jeans are encouraged. I wore a pair of royal blue nice pants and a beautiful white blouse with royal blue decorations on it. I also had on some smokin' hot white heels and I wore my pearls. First customer of the morning is a young blond gal wearing similar shoes, white capris and a pretty red and white shirt. We looked like we had planned our outfits to look great together. We got a laugh out of that, so that cheered me up a little. I got through my work, I feel like I am slowly making headway on the backlog.
After work my friend and I went to SUP. Then I changed for dinner at the beach bathroom. There were a ton of people there, and I ended up at the sink with two beautiful young women in bikinis. I was touching up my makeup, and I stood back from the mirror and fluffed up my hair and one of the girls exclaimed: "You are beautiful!"
So I felt good about myself when I headed over to the O'Club to meet my friends. I went in and found my friends, already eating, it was a buffet dinner. I walked up to them at the table and one of my friends said: "Now Wendy looks like she belongs in the officers' club." Which really ticked off my other friend who I had just been out on the water with. Silly woman, everything isn't about her!
After dinner we went into the bar, where a rousing game called "CRUD" was being played on a Snooker table. Part of our party left, and I was leaving when I was asked to be the scorekeeper. I knew 2 of the players, and got to know the rest. It was a nice evening and I was happy to make new friends and to feel so normal.
I was alone but didn't mind that. I didn't feel alone. I just felt like me. Anyway just telling you all how I'm feeling.
Da da da da da da.......... Feelin' Groovy.......... ;-)

Life does get better, but seems to take many detours. I had to go back for a second mammogram and extra ultrasounds yesterday. There are two separate "things" they were looking at, both in ducts. They want me to come back for a second look in 6 months.
Right now I just need someone to hug and comfort me. Too bad that someone is gone. And I know NOW he never was the right guy, but he sure had me fooled. BUT THIS VERY MOMENT I NEED THAT OLD PERSON!!!!
Gotta' jet, I have a realtor coming over to see the house. He claims to have customers. I will believe that when I see it. Feels like another thinly veiled attempt to get me to list with this person. If someone really had a customer, seems like they would have contacted me. Not his story about a fellow agent who has a customer looking for a house in my neighborhood. How could his fellow agent have failed to notice my house? There are only 187 homes in here? The house shows in the MLS as "Off the market". Meaning open for anyone to contact me, the previous realtor no longer has any protection.

Wendy, I'm sorry to hear about the mammogram and ultrasounds. Hopefully it's nothing more than "fatty tissue". Did you cut back on caffeine a couple of days before you had the mammogram? I do hope that whatever they are looking at resolves itself and nothing else becomes of it. I'm sending you huge hugs because you sound like you need them this evening.
BTW, I find it very strange that a realtor is coming over and claims to have customers, but stranger things have happened before. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you are able to sell your home and soon at a good price.
Please take care of yourself.

The realtor was pretty entertaining. He suggested my price was too high by about 30%....... He tried to get me to tell him the lowest price we would take, and in general was darn silly. I can't remember if I had said on here that I was a licensed realtor from 1997 through 2004. And I wasn't born yesterday. If I wanted to sell my house for the very low price the realtor suggested then I could place an ad in the paper and sell it about one day! And not pay any commissions!
After he left I went over to the mall and did some serious gift card/coupon/reward points redemption. I had a drink (Apple cider) and a small appetizer at Ruby Tuesdays. I used a $10 gift card and only spent $5 including my tip!
I went to Macy's and got a beautiful blouse for work and a cute casual shirt (Both of which match some orange sandals I got recently). I also got some hot pink jeans and a long blue print dress. Original ticket prices $206, much lower on clearance, after my $20 coupon and $25 rewards check I put $11 and some odd cents on my Macys Card.
Tomorrow I am organizing my sewing room. And trying to warm up my junk sorting self to have a yard sale. Because I have TOO MUCH stuff!
