I 100% want my family back. I do not want a "transition period" where she is in the house and out all night. That would be very damaging for me.
I like your angle of looking at this however, my wife has zero emotion. SHE is completely capable of moving back in and keeping on with OM. In fact, she wouldnt understand why I would have a problem with it.
remember she invited the guy she was previously having an affair with over for christmas with my family. After I confirmed the affair and was upset by it she said "Its not like we had sex in the house that day".
