Ruby, Ms. Wonka was my true best friend and I do miss her. I think we're slowly reconnecting the friendship part and it sure feels GOOOOOD!
Update:
Since Ms. Wonka sent me the surprise text, there's been a flurry of fun, uplifting texts about the Royal baby over the last few days. Its the most we've ever 'talked' in a short period of time in over 9 years. I'm going post these texts for those other LBS with WASes in other states in the hopes of giving them some guidance on how to be detached, fun, and upbeat.
Wonka: Oops! It's a boy after all. Dang, shouldve made that bet with you and I would have won BIG! Ms. Wonka: Ha..you did say it might be a girl! Well they kept us waiting for hours. Might as well wait for the name as well! I won't speculate. Wonka: Got me there!! LOL Let's make a bet on the name. If I win, you owe me a quarter. Fair enough to you? Ms. Wonka: Well..a quarter won't do. There's a million names floating around. Alexander Charles Michael Francies?! LOL Wonka: You're taking a huge challenge with all those names! :p I was thinking of the first name. I'm going with George.
Wonka: Hey Ms. Wonka, I was RIGHT!! It's Prince George. so you owe me a quarter, my friend!!! Hip hooray for Wonka the Winner!!! Wonka Ms. Wonka: Hey..you and I were right! I said Alexander. But you got the first name right. Of course, the poor kid is stuck with an old fashioned name. Hope we don't call him Georgie but I think it is Alexander aksa Alex will be used. A tie! Ms. Wonka Wonka: You're a tough cookie, Ms. Wonka! Fair enough...we're even. You got Alexander somewhere in there. Still...I got the first name right so I deserve some brownie points on that one! Ms. Wonka: Smile! Yea..bookies also bet on it. I thought they would be original but tradition rules. Have a good day! Ms. Wonka
