Wonka not sure of course, but I think your DxW has become slow and cautious. I think she is probably pondering your response, and will answer you when it is all clear in her mind.

Have you come across any more interesting letters from your dad and his OW?

There was a good sized box full of these letters. And some stuff that I really didn't want to know. They've been cosigned to the shredding folks that I'll be bringing this coming Monday.

Amazing stuff and some really HOT, ANGRY, PASSIONATE words.

Back to your comment about DXW moving very slow, Linda, I am not sure what's going on in her noggin' these days. A lot of conjecture on my part and it can be confusing if I spend too much time on the conjecture sofa.

Val...good to see you here! laugh Yep, the ball is sitting there like a lump on DXW's ball court and we wait for the next movement, if any.

Update:

Last night, I got a text from DXW which caught me completely by surprise as I wasn't expecting to hear back from her at all. As I was very busy packing up, I responded to her a few hours later.

In DXW's text, she relayed some relief from the heat wave and hoped I would get some relief soon as well. Then she said, "Yea, time heals thanks." Very short and I know it is her way of distancing herself from the pain as I'm guessing it made her feel uncomfortable.

After some blather about the heat wave, I decided to address the "heal" elephant in the room. My foot went a bit deeper into the pool and the water level is now about halfway up to my shin. I said, "Speaking of how time heals, in a way it does. It was certainly painful for the both of us and I'm sincerely sorry for your pain. Take care, Wonka"

And left it at that. No response from DXW...as if our past pattern continues to holds up.

Wonka, some good news, ha. Something is developing with these texts… I think you are doing great. I cannot wait for your next update with DXW reply.

Color me SUPER DUPER surprised this morning!!!! shocked shocked

DXW initiated a text for the first time in months. When I saw the text, I stared at it in utter shock. Then looked at the time she sent the text...it was at 7:35 am this morning. This only means that she thought of me the first thing in the morning!!! grin grin

DXW: Good morning,
Anticipating the Royal baby's arrival. Girl or boy? I think it's a girl. You? Ms. Wonka

I responded to to her text a few hours later as I was busy with errands in the town.

Wonka: Good morning, Ms. Wonka.
Yea, there's a lot of interest in the Royal baby all over the world! Boy or girl? Heh...a toughie. You're probably right that it might be a girl after all! smile Although we can be totally surprised if a boy pops out. Never know. It's fun to speculate...isn't it? smile

Hope you have a good day!

Wonka

Wow...a good step for DXW. Still not yet calling me by my name. That's okay..it'll come in due course.

Must be something in the air. This happened to me, too!

Let's remember to keep our perspectives, act "as-if," and not to mindread, though, okay?

This is the "how does it feel to talk to an old friend stage?" TAKE IT smile

It took H forever to call me by my old nickname "R", he often slips up and calls me sweetie or sweetheart (but usually if he is frustrated lol).

For my part, I call him Babe, but I call a lot of people babe wink

Having a name is really personal, you know?
