You don't tell a "neighbor" that their welcome to come back to live with you any time, right? You're jumping the gun a bit, but the thing is that you haven't given her any space in your conversations. As long as she feels that you will ALWAYS be there, she really has no incentive to do anything about it. That's why the push/pull of relationships is so real.
Right now, you've got it tough because she's with another guy. There's nothing you can do about it. You just have to hope that you left her with a good enough impression of you so that when things start to break down with the OM, she'll start thinking of you. Happens all the time. Whether or not it happens in yours is up to her.
