30 years! Not all that many couples can say that! Seems like quite an accomplishment and something worth saving to me... hopefully W thinks so too.
While the plan of course is to relax and have a great time, (and continue to avoid R talks as we have for many months now!) UR is correct, I do have to be prepared for anything... After all, W did say she felt the need to discuss where we are now, and even mentioned "at the end of the month" as to the timing.
She is out getting her hair done right now, then stopping in work to catch up, and then seeing her GF tonight. I have my own projects to tend to, including getting her an anniversary card and gift. Last year we went to the Heartland Spa, (a converted dairy farm) and I gave her a "cow" charm for her Pandora bracelet. She does wear it. This year I'm thinking of giving her a pearl charm, since 30 years is "Pearl".
I hope you all have a productive DB weekend!

A pearl charm is a great idea, FY. You're so thoughtful. Thirty years IS a great achievement these days, where quickie divorces seems to be the norm. I'm sure you told her how fabulous her hair looks

Hahaha... We'll see about that!
I bought the charm Saturday. Then Sunday, while we were heading out to visit the Dad's, W says "Not that you would, but don't get me anything for our A."
I asked why not, and she said the trip is enough.
The trip is super discount, the charm is not expensive, and we have zero issues with money.
If she wants to she can return it, but she's getting it like it or not! (I'm betting she won't return it)
Now to come up with a witty or funny card...

Oh, and I have a little fashion shopping to do... for myself!
I'm going to look hot on this trip whether she admits it or not!
Love this ^ ^ ^ ^ !!!!
FY, I hope the trip is fantastic! Well, at least a fun, connecting time would be great.
Congratulations on 30 years! And congratulations on staying when the going got rough

Great attitude, FY! Your W is sensing it, and I think that's why she's responding a little more positively :-) Happy 30 years, and have an amazing trip! PS. Yes, she'll love the charm even if she does not admit to it!
This afternoon, W called me from work to ask if I wanted to go on a whale shark snorkeling tour with her while we are on our trip. She knows that while I've snorkeled before, and kinda sorta can swim, I'm not real comfortable with the whole thing, especially the drowning or being devoured by a creature of the sea part.
Maybe this is all part of her plan to move on without me without getting a D. This way, she'd even get my half of all our stuff and the life insurance $$$,$$$ to boot!
Of course I had to tell her yes.
The website she sent me a link to says that it's safe and that whale sharks are harmless. Yeah, right. They're 40 freakin' feet long with mouths WAY bigger than a human! I'm pretty sure just seeing one near me will be enough to make me pass out and drown!
Oh well, if you all don't hear from me after the trip, at least you'll have some idea what happened to me.

Wow FY! Is that the sort of thing your W liked to do in the past, or is snorkling with sharks new for both of you? If this is some kind of a test, you're passing it with flying colors! Good for you. You're going to have a fabulous time!
So tell us about your studley new clothes! Are you all ready for the trip? Two more days!!!
