Drove to W town with the kids and took them for lunch before I dropped them off. Weather was poor at first but by the time we got there it was very nice. Got to W's house. She was busy doing washing. I noticed a big bouquet of flowers on the table. I settled the kids. Chatted with W for a few minutes, I asked how her trip went, she never went, too tired and couldn't be bothered.
She asked me what I was doing with the rest of my day. I said I had a few things to do while I was there, I was gonna get some cheap T-shirts for work. I asked her what she had planned and she said nothing. I said when I'm finished I will call back see if you want to take the kids somewhere. She said yeah that would be great!
Started driving to the park where the roller coaster was, traffic was slow and all the way I could see this used ride in the distance. W sent me text: I'll let you buy me something. I ignored it for now, had bigger fish to fry. I had to drive right past and then walk past it the other way and then all the way through the park watching it fly around with people screaming.
Got in line and queued. I asked the couple next to me if they had been on it before because they seemed quite scared. They said they had. I told them it was my first time and I was doing it to get over my fear of roller coasters. They couldn't believe it, asked if I was by myself and I said yes. Again they were shocked. It gave me even more of a sense that I was doing something quite special for myself. I decided if i was doing this I would take as much in as possible. It was so f***ing scary and so exhilarating. I held on for dear life! It was so long and so high! When I got off I had mixed feeling on it. Part of me thought why on earth would people choose to do that and the other part of me would have done it again. Really chuffed with myself!
