Hey, don't think of it like that. None of us are experts here, otherwise it wouldn't be free!
At AA meetings, the new people have to speak. I think it's because they want people to be more comfortable with sharing. I've been to Al-Anon meetings (not an alcoholic myself, but they were everywhere in my family - and I'm comfortable saying that because this board is anonymous as well), and I know that we learn to heal ourselves by helping others. So do jump in, even if -- heck, especially if -- you want to offer encouragement or sympathy. It taches you humility and compassion, and lord knows we could all use more of that. Some of the best insights I've had have come from posting on other threads. I mean, writing helps you organize your thoughts, but after a while even *I* get sick of writing about myself
So please continue to share. People are really reaching out for a shoulder to lean on and god gave us two of 'em so we'd always have one to lend.
