Yes, I completely understand the loss you mention. It's certainly hard when you've had that wonderful connection on a daily basis and then it's gone. It leaves a big empty hole which sometimes you can fill and sometimes not. It's very special to have someone who you can call or who calls you daily and who really wants to know how your day went. We all have friends but, let's face it, they don't want to hear from us on a daily basis! So, all in all, it sounds like you're doing well. Have a great trip and enjoy that special moment with your daughter!:)
