AD's will take some of the edge off the depression, but it will not alleviate it entirely. Her crisis will continue. Don't be surprised if she goes off of them in a short while. Most mlcers do not stay on them very long because they don't like the way that they feel while being medicated.
Listen to what she has to say when she comes home. Don't push for information.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
Yes, that is what I mean by taking the edge off. But, don't put all your eggs in one basket and think that AD's will clear up her mlc because it won't. Keep your expectations at zero at all times.

Depends on the AD and the patient...my W responded well to a couple, for a while (this is pre-BD/mlc). However, when she started effexor (via a pharmapsychologist) BOTH times (2009 and went off, then again in 2011) replay behavior started within 3-4 months.
I found a forum for spouses of people that had the exact same behavior seen in their spouses taking that AD, I had an opportunity to forward that to my W in 2012, within 4 months of her tapering off and then stopping and her OB switched her to wellbuterin, she started "warming up" to the family again...her OB said she'd NEVER prescribe effexor, just fyi.
Again, no doctors here, but monitor her behavior, and hopefully she would be open to knowing you are and any concerns you see. Try to have check-ins with the family and doctor to monitor how she responds.
The other thing that has REALLY helped W the past couple of months is over the counter herb med called estroven...the black kohesh root is long known herb for balancing/remedy for menopause/hormonal stuff, takes a month or so to kick in...just FYI...of course, I'm not not a doctor, so this is purely anecdotal evidence... Actually, that's what I took for 12 months 10 years ago. Only AD I've had until current sitch. Lexapro made me very sleepy, gained 20 lbs, and had no libido. It saved my life and was very easy to stop. Main problem for me was being sleepy. If I got still or was driving for more than 30 mins I could not hold my eyes open.
