My wife is exactly like that. She's a morning person and a LD, I'm a night guy and a HD. Wonder if that's a common pairing? She wakes up in the morning at the slightest noise and can't get back to sleep. I stay up late night working, paying bills, surfing the web, etc. I don't like getting up in the morning. She wakes up 30 minutes before me and I stay up 2 or 3 hours later than her at night. Man, I have to watch out at night, because you can really build up some resentment in 3 hours.
We both share the chores before bed. When we finally get the kids to bed, she always wants to "just relax" and watch TV, then inevitably falls asleep before the show's over. I have tried to tell het to give herself breaks during the day (she's a stay-at-home mom) so that she's not so exhausted. The reality is, she enjoys doing laundry, cleaning, running errands as much or more than the "nighttime chore" of making love with me. So I think she unknowingly tires herself out so that she has a good excuse to avoid sex.
