"While I do not agree with the divorce, I love you. If you feel you need this to be happy, I will not stand in your way." Or reasonable facsimile thereof.

Calm, quiet, opposite of screaming and yelling, crying. Oh, BTW? 7 months in and H still does not believe me when I say I want him to be happy. It's a long road smile

Just because H filed doesn't mean I can't stop it, right?

Waiting for the papers to show up this week. Gut wrenching. I'm out of ideas on how to save it when we don't talk.

I'm in the same boat as you, Shiss. Try and take the focus off the R and put it on you. Detach and GAL.

With her? No; but since she as a TRO against me (she falsely claims I sent people to harass her at work; it's a misunderstanding involving an acquaintance who apparently has boundary issues), it's out of my hands.

With myself? I'm growing and improving as an individual by leaps and bounds!

Wow, I had no idea. I'm sorry. I really shouldn't be complaining thankful no RO against me. Can I stall and delay proceedings if need be? We have no kids.

Shiss,
Since you did consult a lawyer maybe ask what your options are IF you do get served.

Depends on your state. Probably not, would be my guess. I think MWD addresses the desire to want to delay proceedings in her books. Correct me if I'm wrong fellow DBers, but I think her advice to be cooperative but not eager.

He said he would stall as much as possible since I want to save it but I don't want to anger my H in the process.
