Are they really hurting inside? They do a damn good job of covering it up. Acting like they are on top of the world and that this is truly what they want. Either they aren't hurting or they deserve an Oscar.
I wanna comment on this...
To say that they are not hurting, would mean that they were some pretty vindictive people , and while I don't know you or your spouse, I highly doubt that is the case.
The WAS acts on pure emotion, rather than rational thought. Emotion is spontaneous, and the decisions that are made, usually are made with very little taken into account that allows them to stop, reflect on someone else's feelings.
The hurt and anger that they walk away with, is guilt driven. The last time I checked, those all three were some pretty strong emotions.
Most WAS use that emotion in the form of a "mask", so that to the outside world, all that they show, is the positive side of that emotion. Not the inner demon, that drives the dark side of it.
They save that little guy for all of the interactions with the LBS.....
Where there is love, there is hate...
Where there is pain, there is forgiveness...
It's a fine line Shiss...
Both the LBS, AND the WAS, walk it daily..
When I asked the same question, almost 6 years ago...
The answer I heard was...
"Do you really think that a person is capable of being that vindictive, for that long, to one person.. ???"
And if they are capable ?
Would you really want to be with them ???
Would you really fight for them ???
Would you sign up to post on a website to save your marriage, if they were really that way ????
