It's the best. You want to hear extra weird? I love just vinegar on them but I also sometimes like to dip them in mayo or mustard. The mayo apparently comes from my German Grandpa. I don't know where the mustard thing came from.

Putting mayo on fries is very European. My son came home from Germany/Poland and first told me of it. Then we began to frequent a restaurant in Toronto that served gourmet fries on the dinner menu. I LOVED them with mayo. Can still taste them. Fantastic.
Seems so many places that used to make fresh cut fries have cut back to cheap, frozen ones. Taste like paper. But here in Florida I've found 5 Guys (they are also in some other cities) and they make the best fresh cut fries ever! Oh yum. And just 3 blocks away. Dangerous...
I thought it was the gravy that was a big deal in Ontario anyhow. I love fries with Ranch Dressing. In Denmark and Germany they have some stuff I can't even describe as I don't like it. Lol. But yep they do use mayo on their fries too.
Hand me the Ranch, I am getting hungry.

Some folks like gravy on their fries but it is the cheese n gravy stuff that makes poutine - that is very popular in Ontario. I avoid that like the plague - a heart attack waiting to happen.
But vinegar is the norm and it seems some of you Americans enjoy it too. I still get strange responses every time I ask for it here in Florida, though.
Not to ruin a good discussion. But have you ever dipped fries in chocolate shake? That was my 19 year old self. Your fry stories made me remamber that......

She's BAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!! Yes, the agency head from Hell is back from Asia and she is back to her old stunts. Phoning me, making demands for me to do things, being difficult/impossible.
I let her partner know that I want to deal with the others in the office but not her. I have expressed this twice now. Yesterday she interrupted my morning and would not let her worker give Ryan a med that he required that I needed him to have. (In hindsight - I should have just given it to him myself). She is unreasonable and irrational and my blood pressure shoots high whenever she calls. Which is constantly. I emailed the agency following her stunts yesterday that Ryan should have had his meds 90 min earlier and that those were doctor's orders.
Last week she informed me that my son had picked up a new, serious illness when in hospital - that one of our workers had noted it. She insisted I phone the hospital PRONTO!!!! She created a lot of drama. Turned out she was wrong and had to apologize to me. Her partner called me to apologize to. I again requested to deal with the partner - not with the horror person.
Now she has phoned me again. Then emailed PLEASE PHONE ME - your voice mail is going to FAX (duh - maybe you should get the hint). This is bordering harrassment. Ryan is here in the house with me and is just fine.
I'm considering replying that she can email me her concern but that I find the phone calls too disruptive and stressful.
Had a meeting this morning regarding this with government nurse (they employ her for part of her hours). She thinks I NEED to get away from this woman.
Any suggestions? There are no other agencies here that can take care of Ryan. But I don't want to have a heart attack over this.
I got nothing...but I want you to know that I recognize how stressful such situations can be. It's hard not to let these people get to you! Keep smiling Barb, you'll win in the end
