Lavender essential oils helps for sleep too. I put a few drops on the bottom of my pillow and also have a diffuser. I am up at 3am no matter what with being pregnant, and I find I'm not tired enough to get back to sleep, so my mind starts spinning. I think it helps if you read something or watch something on tv for a little bit and get your mind off of thinking. I can usually go back to sleep if I can do that.
