Obviously he has gotten himself into quite a financial pickle and he is desperate. Does he think the courts will look favorably on him not living up to his end of the deal with you and the children? No court is going to say, I am sorry you are in a financial mess and you don't have any obligation to pay. That's not going to happen.
Sounds like a classic case of MLC if I have ever heard one. Your H and mine sound like brothers.
I truly feel for you and your kids. I hope you have them in counseling or that they at least have someone to talk to.
Please pray and get some council (legal and financial and emotional) ASAP!
