I used to try to write back and say nicely thanks but no thanks. But what happened is I would get really pissed-off replies back from the guys, some quite irate, even though I couched things in the nicest terms possible.
So now I simply ignore those I'm not interested in. I guess a rejection, however nicely put, is still too painful online, and some of those guys scared me with their responses.
