So, I will get her a card commemorating the day...it will be a friendly or possibly even a humorous one.

Good plan, I think I'll follow that plan too.

H said he will take me out to a nice restaurant, so I think just a small card with "Happy Valentine's Day" and nothing else would be good for me. And I think I'll make some cute, small heart shaped cookies in the Valentine's theme.

15 years ago on Valentine's Day is when H asked me to marry him, so, I too, like you, don't want to ignore it, if it is special to him.
