So, that's a pretty big red flag. Part of you knows that it's a big F U to your wife, and guess what, you don't care. You're doing it, in part, to spite her, in part, to see if you still got it.

I'd advise you to think really carefully about what you want here.

Now, your W is pretty much out the door at this point. I don't blame you for wanting to keep company with someone else. It's tempting. It could push her further towards D, just want to point that out to you, but if you keep it to just dinner, you may be ok, given the circumstances.

Clearly it would be inappropriate if all were well, but all is not well. Only you can decide if this is the right move for you or not.
